France's baby panda makes its first public appearance – video

France’s five-month-old panda made its public debut, delighting hundreds of visitors as it crawled, tumbled and cuddled with its mother. The small male cub, survivor of two babies born on 4 August at Beauval zoo, was named Yuan Meng last month by his ‘godmother’, the French first lady, Brigitte Macron. The cub lost its twin sibling barely two hours after birth. A media sensation in France, Yuan Meng’s recent visitors have include the French president, Emmanuel Macron, and the former president Nicolas Sarkozy.
